Slammin’ Sam Snead is a legend of the game, and this film brings the beauty of his golf swing & approach to the game to life. Originally filmed in 1960 at the Boca Rotan Hotel & Club in Florida, this cinescope feature follows Snead as he demonstrates how he plays the game. I enhanced the original 35mm digitized film print into 4K, edited it for flow, and layered-in audio excerpts from an instructional video Snead made in the 1980’s. The time-tested wisdom shared by Snead in this video is money in the bank for every golfer, regardless of experience or skill level. Enjoy!
Ben Hogan – Satisfaction
He went pro in 1929. Didn’t win until 1938. Many have called his the greatest swing of all time, but opinions like that only matter if you think people named "Tiger” know what they’re talking about. I absolutely love how Ben Hogan talked about the game. His passion for golf was self-evident, the constitution of his character unimpeachable, and the world is a better place in his wake. This is old footage that I did my best to enhance into high definition. I wove in excerpts from an interview he gave in his 80’s, and punched up the visuals to enhance the nostalgia. I added music, created a new sound design, color graded, and here we are. Enjoy!
